What you and I can do about Climate Change. Finding our role in shaping the future.
ABOUTSCC / CURRENT / SIGNUP / ARCHIVES / DISCUSSION GROUP

Sebastopol Carbon Conversations (SCC) is hosted by The Rahus Institute and Sebastopol Grange. The series takes a closer look at the many solutions for reversing global warming as presented in Project Drawdown and other sources. We’ll learn from local organizations that are working on Climate solutions in agriculture, renewable energy, reducing waste, empowering women, transportation, building design, carbon sequestration, and more. We’ll also explore Climate Adaptation – and how we can adapt to changes that are already showing in our area – primarily Wildfires – we call this Climate Readiness. Through this exploration, we’ll discover where we each can take small to large steps, help shape a better future, and still enjoy the day.
Since our first Sebastopol Carbon Conversation in September 2019 with Crystal Chissell from Project Drawdown, we’ve hosted a variety of talks on Climate Readiness, Regenerative Agriculture, Electric Vehicles, Carbon Taxes, and author Mary DeMocker (A Parent’s Guide to Climate Revolution). Many of these talks were recorded and posted here if you’d like to review. Going forward, we’ve set up a SCC Discussion Forum using the MeWe platform to facilitate more dialogue and sharing in the community. Turning conservation into Action is a goal, though we’ll need your help with this as we progress.
